Adenanthos sericeus Labill. Woolly bush
This Australian native does not occur naturally in North America. Identification: Woolly bush reaches 6-10' (1.8-3 m) in height and 4-6' (1.2-1.8 m) around. The needle-like foliage is very soft, almost luxuriant. Small scarlet or dark red flowers appear at the base of the leaves. Online References:
