About plant names...
This cultivated canna lily is not found in the wild. ‘Striata’ refers to the variegated
pattern of its leaves.
Identification: These cannas are 4-6′ (1.2-1.8 m) high
and 1½-4′ (45-121 cm) around. with deep red-purple stems. Flowers have five petals, and are red, yellow, orange, pink or salmon. They appear from July to September.
Leaves are striped with yellow in a pattern that follows the prominent side veins.
