About plant names...

Woolly torch cactus is found in northwestern Argentina and northeastern Bolivia. It is not found in North America.

Identification: Plants are shrublike, up to 3' (1 m) high. Erect stems are 1½-2" (4-6 cm) in diameter, with about 20 ribs. Three brown to yellowish central spines are up to 1" (3 cm) long. In addition, there are 20-30 fine whitish spines of varying length. Flowers are purplish pink, 1¼-1½" (3.5-4 cm) long; forming small fruits.
