Coleonema pulchellum ‘Sunset Gold’ Breath of heaven
The genus Coleonema translates from Greek to "threadlike sheath;" pulchellum is Latin for "beautiful." The natural plant is native to South Africa. This cultivar is not found in the wild. Identification: These shrubs are 24-48" (60-121 cm) around, with soft, aromatic, yellow-green evergreen leaves. Abundant pink flowers, each ¼" (6.3 mm) in diameter, with five petals, appear from mid winter to late spring. Online References:
