Festuca rubra L. Red fescue
Red fescue is a native North American grass that flourishes in a wide variety of habitats. Identification: Plants are 4-20" (10-50 cm) high. Grass blades are flat and very dark green. The ear is 4½" (11 cm) long. Earlets have 3 to 6 flowers. Online References:
