The giant chin cactus is a native of Argentina.

Identification: These plants grow singly. They are ball-shaped at first, gradually reaching up to 3′ (91 cm) tall and 1′ (30 cm) in diameter. Large plants are rare. Flowers are pinkish-write, with many small overlapping sharp-tipped petals. Fruits are red.
